The Speckled Hen

— The Speckled Hen

On this week’s quest to explore Lancaster County through coffee shops, I found The Speckled Hen. Located on 141 E Main St, Strasburg, PA the drive from downtown Lancaster was not far at all. I arrived about an hour and a half before closing and the place was still bustling with business.

In honor of this week’s coffee shop, ratings will be out of πŸ“β€™s (1out of 5).
COST: πŸ“πŸ“πŸ“
$6.25 for one large mocha latte (16oz). The goal is to find good coffee under $6 and this week we were just over.
SERVICE: πŸ“πŸ“πŸ“πŸ“
I loved that I could take a seat at my table and use a tracker for my coffee to be delivered.
TASTE: πŸ“πŸ“πŸ“
A mocha latte without any additional syrups or add ins was pretty sweet on its own. Not the sweetest cup mocha, but if I do go back and try some of the speciality syrups - I’ll have to ask for less mocha syrup to account for the additional sweetness.
VIBES: πŸ“πŸ“πŸ“
Overall good vibes. Today I was in the mood for a work/read space, and this sort of fit the vibe. I loved the different seating options: outdoors, large tables, and high top tables facing the window (where I sat). The servers were kind and greeted me with a smile. The gift shop section was very cute too! I was able to do work on my laptop with ease, and I even had time to read some of my book. Given that they had a full food menu, it definitely felt like more of eat with friends then a sit a do work space.

ALLERGIC REACTION: πŸ“πŸ“πŸ“πŸ“πŸ“
none! Will have to circle back if I ever order food from here, but there was no allergic reaction from the coffee.

In all, I would totally go back and next time I would try their food. The service was great, the drink was yummy, and the parking made the establishment very accessible.
